• Direct Anterior Hip Replacement

  I have had a very positive experience with Dr. William Rainer and my recent Direct Anterior Hip Replacement surgery. I felt like I was in good hands the day of my surgery with all the assistance provided by doctors, assistants, nurses, and aides at Community Hospital. With my successful surgery completed in the late morning/early afternoon, I was able to head home in the late afternoon. I experienced very mild pain over the ensuing weeks during my recovery and I must say that now I am totally pain free. At my 12 week followup I kind of kidded Dr. Rainer by calling him the "Miracle Man" in that he "magically" made my hip pain disappear. I highly recommend Dr. Rainer, and although I hope I do not need his professional service ever again, if I did, I would do it all over again. I also want to thank PA Scott Stephen for his assistance and professionalism in my follow-up appointments.

• Total Knee Replacement Revision

  I am extremely pleased with Dr. Rainer and my knee replacement revision. The pre-surgical appointments, actual surgery, and the post-surgical appointments could not have gone better. Dr. Rainer took great caution in order to detect and understand some unique issues that my case presented to include other tests and an outside consultation, and he reviewed them with me along the way. I had a really good idea what surgery would entail. The actual replacement went extremely well. Within days, to everyone's surprise, I was up and around really well. The pain that I experienced was much less than my right knee replacement. And Dr. Rainer provided the same care and partnership in the post-surgical appointments as he did all along the way. I have nothing but admiration for Dr. Rainer, the care provided at Community Hospital was excellent, and I would recommend Dr. Rainer to anyone who is considering knee and/or hip orthopedic services.

  I had a total knee replacement in December of 2022. It has now been 3 months post op. I am doing well. My range of motion is great. Dr. Rainer said of my range of motion, “ that is a home run. I couldn’t ask for anything better.” In addition to his surgical skills, he is very personable. Office visits are very informative. He explains everything very well and takes the time to answer any questions I have. I never feel rushed. I highly recommend him.

  The original physician I saw missed diagnosed my condition. 3 months after the accident that broke my hip, it was finally diagnosed correctly. It was at this point Dr. Rainer got involved.   Dr.Rainer was amazing. From the start of planning for my hip replacement he walked me through every step, made sure I had proper after care, and fought for me when other doctors (cardiologist) were being difficult. I always felt he had my health and future happiness in mind through the whole process. He called and checked on me multiple times and made sure I had everything I needed to rehab. I've had a very smooth and non-stress experience and having my hip replaced has given me a new lease on life. I'm actually looking forward to seeing Dr. Rainer for my other hip when it comes time for that one to be replaced.
